C5-R - Chassis C5R-011

This is the last actual racing C5-R (NOTE: A C5R-012 chassis was built but was skinned as a C6.R and used for testing).

Above  - 2007-05-14 - Since I missed shooting this chassis plate while the car was still in the USA, Nigel Dobbie very kindly sent me this photo that he shot in Europe.

2004 Racing Season - USA

Above  - 2004-03-18 - The last racing C5-R rolls out for testing in preparation for the C5-R swan song season.

Above  - 2004-03-18 - Brand new car, same colors, new stripes for the C5-R sendoff.

Above  - 2004-03-20 - Off and running for the 12 hours of Sebring.

Above  - 2004-03-20 - Best in the business, the Corvette pit crew goes to work.

Above  - 2004-03-20 - The last racing C5-R Corvette wins, at the always tough Sebring 12-hour, no less, the first time out in the final C5-R season.

Above  - 2004-10-16 - The last racing C5-R Corvette enjoys its 4th and final win, at the always tough Laguna Seca track, no less, in the final race of the final C5-R season.

Above  - 2004-10-16 - The Saleen, fast but fragile, always ran well at Laguna, but not well enough in 2004.

Above  - 2004-10-16 - The C5-R fades into history as a factory race car. However....

2006 Racing Season - The Second in Europe

2007 Racing Season - The Third in Europe

Above  - 2007-03-25 - C5R-011 finishing 3rd overall in the FIA GT race at Zhuhai, China.
