C5-R Show History

C5-R Show Car
A C5-R show car based on an early 1997 C5 pilot model (VIN 1G1YY12G9X5100051) has appeared at several Chevy displays. Although it has an early C5-R exterior, it appears to be a generally stock C5 chassis. The interior is hidden by heavily tinted glass but when the light is right it can be seen to be mostly stock.

- Note that
although it has the Daytona 2001 paint job it also has the original full
louvered hood, narrow front splitter, fake brake scoops below the parking lights
and the 1999 roof scoop.
