David and Judy's Senior Moment
Still drivin' after all these years
The fifth year - 2005 Activities
Above - January 14, 2005 - Three weeks of having
Christmas snow remaining on the ground (and streets) is a northern Indiana bonus
- NOT! Finally, a nice day made a photo trip
mandatory. After running the back roads long enough to keep the the oil
temperature above 215 degrees for a while, I stopped at my favorite building in Fort
Wayne and created some pixels.

Above - April 13, 2005 - The official Fort Wayne Corvette Club driving season
gets underway with a mystery cruise up US 33 and back to Munchies on Dupont Road
for food and fun.

Above - April 17, 2005 - The Promise Ministries Church had a car show and
barbeque lunch.

Above - April 21, 2005 - Down to Bowling Green, Kentucky for the annual C5-C6
Birthday Bash. In the spirit of the event, I parked my C5 next to a new C6 for
the first time.

Above - April 23, 2005 - After Bowling Green, on to Paducah, Kentucky for the
annual International Quilt Show. I got a chance to do some photos by the flood
wall murals.
NEWS FLASH!!!

Above - February, 2006 - The Editor of the National Council of Corvette Clubs
national magazine, Sylvia Hoaldridge, saw the one of the pictures in the Fort
Wayne Corvette Club publication. With family ties to railroading, she was
impressed and put one picture on the cover and others inside. (The "Blue
Bars" on the front fender might have helped with the decision also.)

Above - April 29, 2005 - The National Corvette Show at Kruse Auction park was
hosted by the Fort Wayne Corvette Club. These are the working member's cars.
(Yes, I worked!)

Above - May 7, 2005 - A Fort Wayne Corvette Club caravan headed for Bud's
Chevrolet in St Marys, Ohio for a Corvette Show.

Above - May 10, 2005 - While out doing some gratuitous consumption of fossil
fuels (a retiree thing), my favorite twisty road produced this great photo op.
An unhappy Amish dog behind me limited my shooting time.

Above - May 14, 2005 - The Kelley Car Show was hosted by the Fort Wayne Corvette
Club. It rained most of the day but this lineup of club member cars shows good
participation. The show entry was good also, mostly the result of the rain not
starting until after most of the entrants had arrived.

Above - May 18, 2005 - Judy and I hosted an FWCC mystery cruise for about 15
cars to The Boathouse Restaurant
on Lake Winona in Warsaw, Indiana.

Above - May 22, 2005 - GM made available this great photo op in the Corvette Corral at the Mid-Ohio Race Track for the
American Le Mans Series race. The Belgium Racing Yellow C6.R Corvettes won the
race.

Above - May 22, 2005 - However, the most exciting moment of the race weekend was
having David Hill, Vehicle Line Executive and Chief Engineer of Corvette, making
notes from the data sheet I put in the window for display.

Above - June 5, 2005 - Working the New Haven Canal Days Car Show - Registration
and
Parking

Above - June 6, 2005 - Lee and I visited some tax dollars well spent at Wright Patterson.

Above - June 21, 2005 - Lee and I off on another adventure, a trip to the
Ferrari Club of America Convention Concours at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway
to visit some old friends. Lots of Ferraris to see, even in the parking lot, but
I had the only Corvette there (note, however, the Delorean in the last row).

Above - June 22, 2005 - Judy was back in the co-pilot's seat for a FWCC mystery cruise to
the Salamonie Reservoir near Lagro, Indiana.
