David and Judy's Senior Moment
Still drivin' after all these years
The sixth year - 2006 Activities

Above - 2006-04-08 - The Fort Wayne Corvette Club had never toured one of the
best known Corvette modification businesses - Lingenfelter Performance
Engineering - so I volunteered to lead the charge. We had about 18 Corvettes and
42 people.

Above - 2006-04-08 - A Randy Jackson picture of the Lingenfelter Performance
Engineering tour.

Above - 2006-05-20 - In the Corvette Corral at the Mid-Ohio race track for the
American Le Mans Series race. Although it looks nice in the pic above, it was cold and/or wet and/or muddy all weekend
but the race was great!

Above - 2006-06-03 - New Haven, Indiana - Canal Days Car Show, "Hanging
with the Hot Rods." But note that the admiring audience is checking out OUR
ride. Love those future Corvette owners!

Above - 2006-06-09 - Fort Wayne Corvette Club Bowling Green and Nashville Trip
- much more HERE.

Above - 2006-06-21 - Fort Wayne Corvette
Club Mystery Cruise and Dinner.

Above - 2006-06-21 - We had a scenic
tour through the Indiana countryside and ended up in downtown Roanoke, Indiana.
The neat part was an entire block of Main Street blocked off for our club to
park!! Great job, Phil!!

Above - 2006-07-08 - The flanks are polished, the colors
are hoisted and we are ready for the Three Rivers Festival parade with the Fort
Wayne Corvette Club.

Above - 2006-07-19 - Lined up behind Phil's new C6 for an
FWCC mystery cruise. We ended up at Barry's Boathouse, Tri-Lakes for dinner.

Above and Below - 2006-08-16 - The FWCC gang caravanned to
Arnold's Drive-In in Decatur for a burger and shake and a chance to hear Elvis (sorta).

Above and Below - 2006-08-26 - Just 10 days after Elvis in
Hoosierland, we ventured south to Lexington, Kentucky for a completely different
experience, the Keeneland Concours
d'Elegance. We arrived early and, as we were told, ignored the sign.

Above - 2006-08-26 - We were very quickly joined in parking
on the grass by about 399 other cars. An outstanding event!

Above - 2006-08-27 - The next day's event was a tour through the fabulous Kentucky
horse country. When we stopped at Fort
Boonesborough, a replica of the second settlement west of the Alleghenies
and former Daniel Boone haunt, the Stanley Steamer was the center of attention.

Above - 2006-08-27 - The stop at Taylor
Made Farm put us next to several horses, including this red prancing horse.

Above - 2006-09-14 - Back to the annual employee and retiree car show at
my place of employment for 38.6 years. A great chance to see the old gang. Many
thanks to Pat Murphy for the excellent photo below!

Above - 2006-09-30 - The Petit Le Mans race in Atlanta. Hey, suck in that
gut!

Above - 2006-09-30 - That's better! You might meet a movie star....

Above - 2006-09-30 - ....like Sally!
