This Ford was customized from a
"flywheel" car in the '50's.
Pink was all the rage. "Flywheel"?
Check below.

Above - 1954 Ford - 1:25 scale - Photo taken 2005-12-05 - The
plastic in the '50's had a tendency to warp. This one is a little swayback, but
not bad.

Above - 1954 Ford - 1:25 scale - Photo taken 2005-12-05 - The car
was originally light green. So what's not to like about pink and green?

Above - 1954 Ford - 1:25 scale - Photo taken 2005-12-05 - Don't get too close,
the antennae are sharp! Ask me how I know (but don't ask me how often I
reconfirm that fact). Note the excellent fit of the balsa wood skirts.

Above - 1954 Ford - 1:25 scale - Photo taken 2005-12-05 - Flywheel
cars had "play value". Although they were very accurate scale models,
the manufacturers hedged their bets by adding a flywheel and gear set to power
the rear wheels.

Above - 1954 Ford - 1:25 scale - Photo taken 2005-12-05 - The
chassis was obviously used for two different cars on two different wheelbases.
Also note the offset that I put in the front (and rear) of the frame to lower
the car.
