The Disappearance

As you have seen, The Frankfort Terminal Railroad was built right in our own back yard. It was meant to be relatively permanent but, recently, it gradually disappeared:

Above - 2010-02-05 - We first noticed on a Friday evening in February that the FTRR was disappearing.

Above - 2010-02-05 - The passenger station was about half gone.....

Above - 2010-02-05 - ...and the farm and maintenance shed were not far behind.

Above - 2010-02-06 - The next morning, we were shocked to find that the farm and the maintenance shed were completely gone!

Above - 2010-02-06 - And the passenger station was barely there.

Above - 2010-02-06 - That night, the solar lights marked the spot where the railroad had been.
