Some more places to go in the Corvette
Still having fun over a decade later
The twelfth year – 2012 Activities
In addition to some local trips and driving lessons with our 18 year old grandson Kyle, we did get in some great trips in again; Kentucky, Wisconsin and the annual Fall Color Tour, among others.
Below – July 21, 2012 – The Keeneland Concours in Lexington, Kentucky. We were volunteer Class Hosts and showed my Kentucky roots in the car corral.
Above – White with a red interior, great combination!
Below – August 4, 2012 – A Corvette show at Hamilton Town Center mall, Noblesville, Indiana. Karen, Kyle and I had a great afternoon.
Below – August 16, 2012 – Road America near Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. A fantastic 4-mile race track in the spectacular Wisconsin Dells – Kettle Moraine area. We were hosted by the excellent Kettle Moraine Corvette Club and General Motors for the American Le Mans Series race.
Below – October 16, 2012 – We still haven't found better color than right here in our own neighborhood. So after a run to warm up the oil, a stop for spectacular color. I call the first two 'The Hallelujah Set".
Below – October 16, 2012 – In these four photos, it was interesting that the Droid camera decided to do an 'auto-adjust' to get the incredible color of the leaves just right which washed out the Corvette. I was bummed at first but then decided the greater good was served. The leaves will never look exactly like this again, but the Corvette is about the same every year.
