1:32 Scale – In the Beginning

In about 1965 Monogram released two Formula 1 slot cars in 1/32nd scale – a Lotus and a Ferrari:

Of all the cars we ran, these were absolutely the most fun per buck and may have been the most fun regardless of cost. We ran them with just gear and rear wheel and tire changes allowed. Four of us could run a long race and all end up on the same lap! (Pictures of the track on which we ran are here.) Above is my original car and I plan to overhaul it and put it back in service.
