Rare RC tin toy car from the middle 50’s. Masudaya Modern Toys “Radicon Radio Control” series of toys included this car made to resemble a 1956 Oldsmobile, it measures almost 14″ long and 6″ wide. Each rear signal blinks as the car turns in each direction. The transmitter is sequential, pressing the red button goes through a forward, right turn, forward, left turn, forward, stop sequence.
This is one of at least two Radicon Radio Control toys claimed by Masudaya to be “The First and Only Complete Radio Remote Control Toy”. The other one is this BUS. My research as of the above noted date agrees that it is one of the first two fully documented, commercially manufactured, radio controlled model vehicles made by any country in the world. However, as research progresses, there is always the possibility of finding earlier commercially manufactured vehicles.
