“The Aristocraft Micon 14” radio control car, a (Datsun)Nissan Silvia model, was made in the USA (probably imported from Japan by Aristocraft/Polk Hobby)
It’s a very nice, clean, break-free, battery-operated car. I’m unsure of the exact date it was made, but it’s pre-UPC symbol, so I assume it’s from the late 1960s or early 1970s. The toy, as stated, is clean, free of breaks, and appears to be complete. It easily rates as being in excellent condition. The toy is free of rust in both battery boxes and has both antennas. The toy has been tested with the controller humming, but I couldn’t get the car to move. I have no instructions, and it’s possible it needs adjustment or it could be due to weak batteries. The toy appears to be complete, but without instructions, it’s hard to say. The insert has empty slots, but according to the box, I believe it housed batteries. (“14” is 1:11 scale approx)
