Above: Corvette C5-R #001 is now in private hands. The Auto Museum of Cincinnati, OH, a private collection, took delivery at Pratt & Miller this morning, 12/19/02.

C5R-002 Chassis Serial Number Plate
This is the Chassis Serial Number Plate for C5R-002 as photographed at Pratt & Miller on September 14, 2001. Note the “Manufacture Date” of November 20, 1998.
C5R-003 Chassis Serial Number Plate
This is the Chassis Serial Number Plate for C5R-003 as photographed at Pratt & Miller on September 14, 2001. Note the “Manufacture Date” of May 19, 2000.

The frame stamp is IRC-992. Some sanctioning bodies require this for identification.

This is the Chassis Serial Number Plate for C5R-004 as photographed at the Mid-Ohio ALMS race August 23, 2001. Note the “Manufacture Date” of May 20, 2000.
C5R-005 Chassis Serial Number Plate
Above – Sebring – March 13, 2003. Note that this car was completed October 25, 2001.

C5R-007 Chassis Serial Number Plate

Above – Belgium – 2003. The first Customer C5-R – Belcar team owner Patrick Selleslagh bought Pratt & Miller Corvette chassis C5R-007, which was built for another customer, then assigned as a spare car for Corvette Racing. The Chassis Number plate is visible in the photo above but not readable. However, the team agreed to send me a better picture – shown below:

C5R-008 Chassis Serial Number Plate

Above – Nashville, TN – June 27, 2003. C5R-008 was just back from Le Mans and was put on display at the Corvette 50th Anniversary Celebration in Nashville. Manufacture Date 3-15-03. Note that the plate has moved to the roof support bar due to the addition of an energy absorbing box attached to the horizontal bar previously used.
C5R-009 Chassis Serial Number Plate

Above – Elkhart Lake, WI – August 22, 2003. Chassis C5R-009 at Elkhart. Manufacture Date 3-15-03.
C5R-010 Chassis Serial Number Plate

Above – Elkhart Lake, WI – August 22, 2003. Chassis C5R-010 has been used as a test car but was pressed into service at Elkhart Lake when C5R-008 was damaged too seriously a week earlier at Mosport. C5R-010 had no Chassis Number plate at Elkhart.

Above – Atlanta, GA – October 16, 2003. C5R-008 was wrecked again at Miami and C5R-010 was again pressed into service. I shot this plate at the Petit Le Mans. Note that is has no “Manufacture Date”.
