The FIA world sanctioning body has added a series for street-derived GT cars for 2006. Corvette is represented by a modified Z06.

2007 Racing Season

GLPK will race a new (GT3) Corvette Z06 in Belcar. “The deal is done, we’ll continue with our sponsors in the revitalized Belgian championship,” explains Bert Longin. “FIA GT has not been finally decided yet, but our car will for sure be a Corvette…”

Above  – 2007-11-17 – Dubai – Von Gartzen said, “Of course we are disappointed we did not win the drivers Championship. We are second, but we won the Team Championship, which is important for Martini Callaway Racing, and for Corvette. We will try next season to win the driver’s title, also” declared Jürgen von Gartzen after this final 2007 FIA GT3 race.
