July 18
Saturday – 2020 Palmeter Vacation

Arrival

5:07 PM – A long day of driving, but a very happy eight!

The Cabin

Above – And looking even better on the mountain view side!

6:15 PM – However, some sad history as evidenced by the trees above:
“A raging inferno swept through the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and into the city of Gatlinburg, Tennessee on November 28, 2016, killing 14 people and injuring 190 more. Damage caused by the fires is estimated at over $500 million. 2460 structures were damaged or destroyed and 17,136 acres were burned.”
Our cabin had been built in 2019 to replace one lost by the owners on this spot in the fire.

6:16 PM – Judy does a selfie…

7:49 PM – What a great place!

Sharks!

8:26 PM – It didn’t take the sharks long to find the pool table in the game and bedroom lower level – and the hot tub is right outside! Let the good times roll!!
