An incredible Palmeter Family photo – Taken at the home of Garrett Perrine Sullivan, probably in the Mount Sterling, Kentucky area, about 1913 or 1914 (G. P. Sullivan died in late 1914). The photograph was given to my late sister, Anne Berdine Palmeter Threlkeld, by a lady she met on the internet in the late 1990’s.
If you have information about this photo or any central Kentucky Palmeter family, please let me know in the comments below.
Thank you, David William Palmeter

George Willis Palmeter shown in the picture above was born September 15, 1911 so that would not be him but it may be another relative. I would certainly be interested in seeing the paper you have. Thank you.

I just found an honorable discharge paper from the military for a George Palmeter from 1919. I can send photos but it is a bit folded and torn so I will try to take good photos. Could this be your relative?
Lara – I asked Perplexity AI about your comment and received this:
“According to the Charlton Veterans List from the Town of Charlton, New York, there was a George Palmateer Jr. who served during World War I (1917-1918). Charlton is located in Saratoga County, New York, and maintained records of its WWI veterans.
The Palmateer/Palmeter family has deep roots in Charlton and Saratoga County, with multiple generations living in the area throughout the late 1800s and early 1900s. The surname appears in various spellings including Palmateer, Palmeter, and Palmatier, which was common for this family lineage.”
