Documented in the Model Car Science April 1967 issue, this Spencer Murray, famed in the 50s and 60s Kart and car world, project was said to have started in late 1966. The original 1:8 scale, fuel powered chassis was nicely done by Ian Kagihara, a person very experienced with RC airplanes. However, some essential components were “left until later”, making the initial runs less than satisfactory.  The second project cart was a much less creative approach, adding a radio control system to a motorized Wen-Mac Mustang. Spencer was apparently not aware of the more sophisticated Charles Eckles RC cars built earlier but not documented until later.
