Above – October 22, 2010 – The folks are in place and the final assembly begins.

Above – October 23, 2010 – Silicone was used to attach the gazebo to the base. The box of screws holds it down until the silicone sets up.

Above – October 23, 2010 – The power wiring comes through a hole in the base to a connector, which was disguised as a speaker box. The craft wires run across the floor behind the band and up a pillar to attach the wiring to the LEDS. The wire wraps on the pillar behind the band and the wires in the ceiling can be seen here.

Above – October 23, 2010 – A set of Plastruct steps and a custom handrail were the final touches.

Above – August 20, 2011 – A year later and the big crowds are still showing up. The town is so small, the quartet only has three musicians.

Above – August 20, 2011 – The eagle eyes in the crowd might spot the 'speaker box' connector cover behind the band. The mayor enjoys a little night music in front of the Town Hall.

Above – August 20, 2011 – Even the folks at the station can catch a few strains before they catch the train. Sometimes the engineer joins in with select chords from the steam whistle.

This project was a lot of fun. I was particularly pleased with the results of the 'circular pour' stone base.

Above – The garden railroad club folks that attended our open house August 20, 2011 were very complimentary, too. I did get a suggestion to pipe in appropriate music to the gazebo. Hmmmm….
