Probably the most publicly recognized C5-R. This car was driven by Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. at the Daytona 24 in 2001, finishing 2nd in class to sister car 003. This car also finished 2nd in class at Le Mans twice.
2003 – 08 – Purchased by Chip Miller of Carlisle, PA
2002 – Debut in May at Sears Point. Last raced at Atlanta 2003 where it finished 2nd.

2005-12 – Sold to Selleslagh Racing team of Belgium
2006-02-28 – Patrick Selleslagh: The chassis number 5 ……. will do the full Belcar season with Hart and Bleekemolen and a selection of races in France. This is all because the Belcar and FFSA-GT calendars clash twice.

2004 – Sold to Pacific Coast Motorsports for the 2005 ALMS season.
2005 –12 – Sold to Christian Schumacher’s PSI team to run in the 2006 Le Mans Series (formerly Le Mans Endurance Series) and the FFSA GT, a French national GT series.

2003 – Purchased new by Selleslagh Racing Team (SRT) of Belgium. P&M built the car and turned it over to the Belgian team at Sebring during three days of testing in February of 2003. The Belgium drivers ran the car for two days without incident then took it back to Belgium, where it ran in the Belcar Series.
2004 – SRT – Ran with great potential in Belcar.
2005 – SRT – Won the Belcar series.
2006-02-28 – Patrick Selleslagh: It’s our aim to race the Belcar 2005 winning car (chassis number 7) in France, with Eric Cayrolle and Thierry Soave, for the entire French FFSA-GT championship. If we find any valuable candidates, we could rent the car for a selection of races, for example the Zolder 24 hours, in Belcar.

#007 – FFSA nr. 5, and FIA GT Citation Cup nr. 18
2003 – Debut at Le Mans. Ran select events in 2003 until a season-ending crash in pre-race warmup at Miami at which time the car has been repaired and placed in the test program. This car also wrecked at Mosport in 2003.

2005 – 2005-08-26 – Note by AJ Aquilante – “I have a picture from Corvettes at Carlisle in 2005 of the #009 that was rebuilt. Looks as though both #008 and #009 were sold. The “Racecar Reunion” pamphlet says they were purchased by Robert Patrella.”
2003 – Debut at Le Mans. With exception of Sebring and Atlanta, 009 ran the entire ALMS season in 2003 and its drivers won the drivers title.

2003 – Built as a test car, was placed into two race situations in 2003. The car raced in 2003 at Road America after chassis 008 crashed at Mosport and also raced at Petit Le Mans in Atlanta after 008 crashed at Miami.
2004 – Competed as car #4 in the ALMS season.
2005-10-14 – Doug Fehan in dsc: “There are several cars available but the cars that are realistic, competitive racecars are the two current C6.R race cars and chassis 10 C5-R (C5R-010). I’d expect to see all three racing next season, the C5-R will still be very competitive in Europe.”
2005-11-22 – Luc Alphand’s Alphand Aventures will enter a Corvette in the LMS (Le Mans Series) next season, and at Le Mans, entry permitting. Alphand’s Corvette is a C5-R, chassis #10, the 2004 GTS winner at Le Mans (car no. 64).

2004 – Competed as car #3 in the ALMS season.
2005 – Sold to the GLPK Carsport team and competed very successfully in the FIA GT series with two wins, at Imola and Zhuhai, and scored three other podium finishes.
2006-03-06 – Since GLPK has purchased C6R-001, the older C5R-011 will move to the Belcar series for 2006. “We will undoubtedly be the main contenders for the Belcar crown and the Zolder 24 hours,” commented Anthony Kumpen. “For the 24 Hours, Mike Hezemans will partner us.”
2007-04-23 – From “GTFever” at 10-Tenths Motorsport Chevrolet Corvette C5-R History Forum:
#011 – FIA GT : nr. 4 – PK Carsport
-“A new team is formed around #011 from GLPK. The Hezemans family own the #001 C6-R and created their own new team according to new FIA GT rules, that prevent 3 drivers. The C5-R #011 is now run by PK Carsport from Anthony Kumpen.”
2004 – Finished in spring as the new C6.R test version.
2005 – The C6.R show car.
